Population Challenges
Currently, New Zealand is not experiencing any population challenges; its population pyramids and birth and death rates are very desirable, and its fertility rate is the perfect number to keep a sustainable population. However, in the future, the large aging population may pose a threat. With a large group of people dependent on the middle-aged population, it will be hard to support the elderly population. (U.S. Census Bureau) Furthermore, the amount of New Zealand's population moving to Australia and the UK is at its highest point since 1988.
